It is not only unnecessary but also harmful to use cotton butt or any materials for cleaning ear. For these work the ear can get dirtier and one can get pain in the ear. It can make small hole on the thin skin inside the ear. The dirty that gather inside the ear come out automatically and this is enough cleanness of ear. So don't use cotton butt for cleaning ear.
